SRL Show at the Extreme Futurist Show 2012

by Lilia on January 21, 2013

Back in December, Ray and I headed down to Los Angeles to shoot the SRL show at the Extreme Futurist Festival. We had photographed SRL back in 2006, and we were honored when we were asked to help photograph their most recent US show. You can see more photos on Flickr.

Urban Air Market

by Lilia on September 16, 2012

Today I walked over to Hayes Valley for the Urban Air Market (formerly Capsule Design). What a treat! This is definitely a well-curated market because every single vendor there was top notch. Below are a few of my favorites.

I met Domingo from Unpossible Cuts, who along with his business partner, create whimsical and cheeky laser cut jewelry and clocks in the shape of Space Invaders, boom boxes, unicorns, and more. They are having a sale at their Etsy store, so definitely check that out.

Alameda Vintage Fashion Faire

by Lilia on September 7, 2012

If you’re a big fan of vintage fashion and accessories, you’re in for a treat with the Alameda Fashion Faire. The faire will feature vintage finds from the 40’s to the 80s, as well as Victorian and Steampunk inspired fashion. On Friday, September 14th, there’s a special preview show and cocktail party hosted by St. George Spirits. This is a two day event, so if you can’t make it on Friday, you can shop your heart out on Saturday, September 15th.

One of my favorite artists, Camille Rose Garcia is signing her new book, Snow White, tonight at the SF MOMA from 6pm – 8pm.

Check out the video above that shows Camille illustrating her new book.

Alameda Antiques Fair

by Lilia on March 10, 2012

The Alameda Antiques Fair (aka the Alameda Flea Market) is a San Francisco Bay Area favorite where everything sold is vintage, and must be at least 20 years old. You can pick up fabulous antiques and lots of quirky stuff which is always my favorite. This month I checked out the flea market with my family and found loads of great stuff. In addition to the great booths, there are a number of stands and food trucks with amazingly yummy treats to fuel your shopping. Check out the next Alameda Antiques Fair on Sunday, April 1st.
